NVCA Workshop

The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs hosted the Multifunctional Windbreak Workshop on January 17 and 18, 2012. The workshop covered all aspects of windbreaks from maintenance to on how best to construct and cultivate them over the long term, etc.

Speakers included:

• Dr. John Kort, Senior Agroforestry Researcher, Agroforestry Development Centre;
• Brad Peterson, Environmental Management and Landscape Architecture;
• Nathan Munn, Forestry Specialist, Grand River Conservation Authority;
• Dr. Jason Deveau, Application Technology Specialist with OMAFRA;
• Paul day, Chair of Trees for Mapleton.
